Git and GitHub

“Mommy, I want to get my hands dirty now! Cause I’ve got power!” Simon told me (literally and in English) on Thursday evening after he downloaded Git on his laptop. Ironically, he was about to start feeling very sick (stomach flu) that same hour. Even so he wanted to go on programming.

He had spent hours mastering Markdown on GitHub and following LearnWebCode and Daniel Shiffman’s tutorials on Git. He still hesitates about creating his own GitHub account though.

heres one i just uploaded. im NOT using github the ideal way, as a revision tracker. im using it the simple way, as a code repository. https://github.com/PLinux99/figos/blob/master/mkfigos25.fig

the difference is that one is incremental, and other (mine) is old-fashioned and doesnt take advantage of what github is all about. i would never discourage someone from doing it the better way– the way github is designed for 🙂
