Simon had a lot of fun making a sound wave (or a Japanese sea of milk?) in Processing 3 yesterday, something he learned from a tutorial on the Processing website. Processing is a flexible software sketchbook and a language for learning how to code within the context of the visual arts.
Here he changed the colour and the level of the “wave”:
And here he made the peaks random, which made the wave move in a stormy way:
Finally, he changed the speed of the wave which made it look like it was boiling:
