Simon tried to program the Arduino liquid crystal display for the first time last weekend.
First the code kept giving an error, it took us more than an hour to find it. Simon saw it first! Then the circuit Simon built didn’t work. I didn’t want him to get discouraged and tried to help by building the circuit again. It was an arduous task. Eventually it did work, but not exactly how Simon had originally planned it in his code (which he partially wrote himself). For some reason the LCD showed only a sequence of 48s. Still we were both so relieved that we actually managed to make that little thing say something!
