Simon’s maths tutor asked him to take a look at these patterns as homework. He did manage to solve the first two patterns (with a little bit of Dad’s help), but the last one (number 3) we have failed to crack. Anyone?

I think there’s an error in the third row.
The rule seems to be x 2/3. Which gives a series of 15/2 5 10/3 20/9 40/27 80/81 and finally 160/243 instead of 160/163.

Seems like 163 should be replaced with 243.
(Answer: multiplication factor x2/3)
